We Will Continue With New Investments

Tezmaksan Group CEO Hakan Aydoğdu stated that the Sivas Hacı Mustafa Aydoğdu Production Center, in which they invested 37.5 million euros, has been completed and that they will invest a total of 16 million euros this year. Aydoğdu, who mentioned that they invest 1 million euros in R&D projects every year, says that the future of Turkey and the world is in automation.

Tezmaksan is the market leader in the sale of chip removal machines. Tezmaksan Group CEO Hakan Aydoğdu, who said they have been operating in the chip manufacturing sector for 43 years, emphasized that they have been pioneers in many areas, from production to sales, and from Turkey's industrialization to digitalization. Aydoğdu said, "In this journey, where we inspire production, we have not only shaped our own adventure with our investments and innovative approach but also pioneered many products that will support production in the Turkish industry and increase our industry’s competitiveness globally." He stated that their main business area is robotic automation machine feeding cells and systems and explained that the CubeBOX product range, which they designed and produced, has a dealership network extending from Australia to India, from European countries to the USA, and from Argentina to Mexico and Canada. We spoke with him about their chip removal machine production, new projects, and goals in the automation sector:

How long has Tezmaksan been in the manufacturing industry? Where are you today in your manufacturing journey?

Since 1981, during our 43-year journey in chip manufacturing, we have been a brand that pioneers firsts in many areas, from production to sales, and from Turkey's industrialization to digitalization. Our primary business is robotic automation machine feeding cells and systems. The CubeBOX product range, which we designed and produced based on long-standing knowledge, customer experience, demands, and process information, currently extends to countries on 4 continents through a dealership network, from Australia to India, all European countries, the USA, Argentina, Mexico, and Canada.

What topics have you been focusing on in production recently?

Based on the demands received this year, we will have the opportunity to introduce our CubeBOX-AMR solutions, which will be used in the warehouse management of production facilities and especially in the storage and logistics sector with the rise of e-commerce, to our guests and customers at the MAKTEK Fair in Istanbul, the IMTS in the USA, and the AMB fairs in Germany. In English, referred to as Goods To Robot "G2R," which typically means "Goods to Robot" in the context of automation and robotics, it is a concept where workpieces, materials, or goods are delivered directly to a robot to be processed, transported, or manipulated without the need for human intervention. With this approach, we have developed solutions to simplify workflows, reduce manual labor, and increase efficiency in various industrial processes such as production, logistics, and storage.

What are your most important values in all your operations as a company?

Beyond being a leading brand in chip machine sales, we focus on facilitating the production activities of Turkish industrialists. In this journey, where we inspire production with our investments and innovative approach, we have not only shaped our own adventure but also pioneered many products that will support production for Turkish industry and increase our industry's competitiveness globally. We always embrace the importance that the future of Turkey and the world lies in automation. Accordingly, we have built our production on the values of "customer focus," "high quality," "compliance with laws and ethical rules," "honesty," "reliability," "innovation," "valuing people," "teamwork," and "sustainability."

What are the features that make Tezmaksan stand out in its business processes?

Throughout our journey of over 40 years, the most prominent feature in all our business processes, especially in production, has always been human resources. During such a challenging period of accessing qualified labor, we have dozens of employees who have completed 15 or even 20 years with us. I can say that the reason for this is focusing on common goals and the responsibilities that come with being a pioneer in its sector. This inevitably directly reflects on the quality of production and the work we do.

How much investment do you make annually in the field of production?

In 2022 and 2023, we completed our investment in the Sivas Hacı Mustafa Aydoğdu Production Center, with a construction cost of 37.5 million euros. The investment amount for the machinery equipment to be used directly in production and the test and measurement laboratory for which we received accreditation this year is 15 million euros. Additionally, we made a 1 million euro R&D investment. For the coming years, our R&D investments will continue at the same level. We anticipate our machinery and equipment investments to be around 3 million euros.

Can you talk about your R&D activities? What is the scale of R&D at Tezmaksan?

Since our establishment, while being a solution partner of the industry, we have continued our R&D investments with the mission of taking our sector further. Indeed, Kapasitematik, CubeBOX, parkurda.com, and Parkurda Pazaryeri are among the outcomes we have offered in this direction. The current size of our R&D this year is at the level of 1 million euros. Since our first year of establishment, we have adopted a vision of being a company that adds innovations to its field, leads, and adds more value to its country every day with exports. The investments we have made in R&D not only improve the quality of the solutions we offer to the industry but also increase the profitability of our customers who prefer our products. In every project we work on, or R&D and Ür-Ge studies, we proceed by adding value to the Turkish industrialist and contributing to the production power. The presence of the R&D studies we conduct at Tezmaksan motivates us to do better and more advanced work in the next step, thus broadening our projection for the future.
